24/7 access to the finer detail surrounding your business energy accounts

Why should I register for My Business?

My Business is an online services platform enabling you 24/7 access to detail relating to your business energy accounts. Once registered, you’ll have the ability to: 

- view and download all your site bills for the last 24 months;
- view and download all transactions/payments made to date for the last 24 months (in PDF or CLV format); and

- view usage/consumption, be it hourly, daily or monthly across all your sites that are fitted with Smart and Time of Use (TOU) meters (for up to 100 days depending on your meter set up and usage data availability). If you’ve been with us a while, you’ll be able to see monthly usage going back 24 months, enabling you to compare current usage with the previous year’s usage. 

 

How do I set up multiple logins for others to access My Business?

You may have colleagues or third parties who require access to your account information on My Business.  Once you‘ve registered, feel free to share the one email address and password with those trusted parties, enabling them access. There’s also no problem having multiple users accessing My Business at the same time. Whoever you give access to will have the ability to make modifications to account details within My Business.

 

How do I find my way around My Business?

The menu will be across the top of the page or down the right hand side, depending on what device you are using. Select the links you wish to explore from the home page tiles, or from the menu. 

To return back to the My Business home page at any time, just click the Contact logo at the top of your screen.
 

Where do I find my usage information?

Select "Usage" and then "View My Usage". The "Usage History" graph provides you with a monthly view of your usage for each site that is listed in the drop down menu on the left of the screen. If the site selected is time-of-use metered, consumption includes losses in this view. To view consumption in kWh and/or your average daily spend for the month simply hover over the column you are interested in. 

Selecting the “Your Last 100 Days Usage" graph provides recent monthly consumption across the selected site for the last 100 days – only if your site is Smart or TOU metered. You can drill down to daily consumption data by clicking on the column for the month you are interested in and then to hourly data by clicking on the column for the day required. What you’ll be able to see will vary depending on the meter type at the site. Smart meters upload data daily, so you’ll be able to see daily and hourly usage for the last 100 days from the last available day. TOU meters upload data monthly, so you’ll be able to see daily and hourly usage for the last 100 days excluding current month data. If your site is TOU metered, the consumption excludes losses in this view.

If you find you can’t see the “Your Last 100 Days Usage” graph at all, this could be because your site has a standard meter.  The function to download your usage/ consumption data and report on half hour, 48 or 144 usage is still some time away, so until we have that function humming, please continue to contact our Business Support Team for this reporting.

The consumption graph view is currently not available for Reticulated LPG sites.
 
My Business is not designed for, nor should be used by, Combined billing customers. If you're on Combined billing the usage information is likely to be inaccurate due to system limitations and should not be relied on. For accurate billing information, you’ll need to refer to your invoices or contact us directly.
 

 

 

How do I register?

To get started, click here and then click ‘register’. Please use the email address we currently have listed against your account details (we’ve confirmed that email address in our cover email to you) and choose an account number to register your account against. Please use an account number that starts with either ‘5’ or ‘7’. You won’t be able to use an account number starting with a ‘9’ because they are Collective accounts, the details of which can’t be viewed in My Business.

Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive an email from us prompting you to activate your account. Click to activate and you're done. 

We recommend saving the My Business link into your search engine ‘favourites’ for ease of future access. 

 

Where do I find my bills, both recent and previous?

You can view or download a PDF of your bills for the last 24 months by selecting "Billing and Payments" and then "View Bills". 

You’ll be able to view and access bills for your electricity, natural gas and reticulated LPG accounts. What you won’t be able to view are bills for your Collective, bottled LPG, Fuel Card, Combined billing and PrePower accounts.
 

How can I download my transaction history?

Select "Billing and Payments" then "View Transactions".  

Enter the required date range to view and download all transactions/payments made within that date range.  You also have the ability to view all transactions/payments made going back 24 months. You’re able to download the data in either PDF or CLV format.
 

 

How do I update my email or contact details in My Business?

It’s easy. Just head to the 'My details' tile on the home page of My Account, update the required fields then select "click to update" and your account details will refresh.

 

How do I locate my current account balance?

You'll see this on the "My Account" tile on the home page. 

If you have more than one account, what you’ll see is an amount being the total sum of all accounts. To view the current account balance for a particular account, click "View Account Summary" and if you have multiple accounts, just select the account you want to view or select "Billing and Payments", then "View Bills". 
 

 

Can I view all my Contact electricity and gas accounts through My Business?

You’ll be able to view and access information for your electricity, natural gas and reticulated LPG accounts. What you won’t be able to view are your Collective, bottled LPG, Fuel Card, Combined billing and PrePower accounts.
The consumption graph view is currently not available for Reticulated LPG sites.

How do I make the change from receiving paper bills to email billing?

Log into My Business and select "Billing and Payments" then "View Bills".  

Turn the “Receive bills by email” button on the right of the page to "On". As long as your current bill hasn't already been issued, you should receive all future bills electronically.
Note: If you would like to nominate more than one invoice recipient, please contact the Business Support Team. 
 

Where can I view when my next meter reading is due?

Your next meter reading date appears top right on the first page of your bill. Alternatively, go to "My Account", view "Account Summary" and then select "Account Details" in the “Account Information” section.

Please note the read date is always approximate, so best to factor in a buffer of 1 to 2 days either side of that date. 
 

How do I change my password?

We recommend you change your password periodically. Click "My details", then "Change Password" and follow the prompts.

 

Forgot your password?

If you forget your password click here and select ‘forgot password’ on the My Business login page and follow the prompts. 

 

Experiencing a delay when downloading your account information?

If you have multiple accounts registered under My Business, you may experience slight lag from time to time when accessing or downloading all your account data.
