We collect information from you when you use our Careers page and when you share information with us through correspondence and communications as part of your job application.
The personal information that we may collect or obtain includes your name, contact information and employment and education history (for example, information about your current and former employer(s), the school(s) you have attended and the degree(s) you have attained).
We may also collect information about you from third parties, including recruiters, and referees (when we carry out pre-employment checks or speak to your referees). We may disclose the information you supply to us to your referees.
We may also collect information about you from public sources e.g. social media such as LinkedIn or public registers.
Your personal information is used to assess your suitability for the job/s you apply for and is stored in electronic format in a database. However, it may also be used to assess your suitability for other roles within Contact. We will share your personal information with third parties when conducting pre-employment checks. Other than that, your personal Information will only be shared internally at Contact as required for the purpose for which we collected it.
By submitting an application for employment with us, you give your full consent and agree that we may conduct some, or all, of the following pre-employment screening checks:
Where required by law, or where relevant to a particular position, we may conduct further checks, for example, health checks and credit checks. We will let you know and seek your consent before the relevant checks are conducted.
Obtaining references is an important part of our process. In some instances, we will speak to your referees directly, but in most cases, we will use a digital process provided via Xref.
Xref's questionnaire asks whether the referee would object to their comments being released if requested by you. If a referee selects “Yes”, we may withhold this information as confidential.
We use an online recruitment service (which is currently provided by SmartRecruiters, Inc, but which we may replace with an alternative product or service, and an alternative provider, from time to time) (Applicant Tracking System).
When you submit your online job application, your personal information may be stored overseas on the Applicant Tracking System database. We ensure the Applicant Tracking System we use have standards and controls in line with industry standards to keep your information protected.

We may store your personal information for as long as required for human resources and business management purposes and as required by law. You may request this information be deleted at any time by contacting a member of our recruitment team.
You need to make sure that your personal information is accurate, complete, up-to-date and not misleading when it is disclosed to us.
You can request access to, and correction of, the personal information we hold about you by contacting a member of our recruitment team. However, our recruitment team may have internal verbal and written discussions about your suitability for a role. These discussions are evaluative material as they occur under an express promise of confidentiality and may be withheld.
It is your responsibility to keep your login and password details private to prevent unauthorised access.

Our website collects standard internet log information, including your IP address, browser type and language, access times and referring website addresses.
We (and our Applicant Tracking System) may also use cookies (small text files stored in a user’s browser) and web beacons (electronic images that allow our website to count visitors who have accessed a particular page and to access certain cookies) to improve your experience when you use our website and ensure that it is functioning effectively - which may collect personal information.
