The Rangitāiki River Environment Fund helps improve the natural environment and provide education opportunities for rangatahi.
The fund was established in 2015, in partnership with the Rangitāiki Hapū Coalition and Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Awa, and joined in 2018 by Fonterra. It is administered by the Trust’s board and made up of representatives from the Rangitāiki Hapū Coalition, Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Awa, Contact Energy and Fonterra.
2026 Fund Application Details

Contact Energy awards up to $20,000 in scholarships each year for members of the 8 Rangitāiki Hapū pursuing a tertiary education.

Hard copy application forms for the Rangitāiki Environment Fund and The Rangitāiki Education Scholarships are also available during the relevant application period from the Te Teko Post Office.
