Contact Energy Limited ("Contact Energy", “Contact”, “us”, “we”, “our”) and not Facebook collects entrants' personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion. Acceptance of the Prize is deemed consent for Contact Energy to use the winner's details, photographs and/or videos for promotional and media purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant. Contact Energy will also use this information to administer the promotion and may identify and present offers from Contact Energy or from third parties that may be of interest to you. The promotion period runs from when the relevant competition Facebook post (the “Competition Post”) is published on the Contact Energy Facebook page to the end date as specified in the Competition Post (the “Promotional Period”). Contact reserves the right to change the end date at its sole discretion.
The Competition post will specify a prize to be won during the Promotional Period (the “Prize”) and the winner will be selected by Contact Energy by 31 March 2021 (the “Prize Draw”).
Each Prize will be governed by its relevant terms and conditions (if any).
To enter into the Prize Draw, you must follow the instructions contained in the Competition Post during the Promotional Period. The winner will be selected from the entrants that comply with this clause 6 and any other relevant term or condition contained in these terms and conditions.
Contact Energy's decisions on all matters, including eligibility of entries, operation of Prize Draws and allocation of Prizes is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
There may only be one entry per person and the winner will be contacted via Facebook or email within 24 hours of the winner being selected. If the winner does not respond within 24 hours they will forfeit their Prize and another winner will be selected and contacted.
The Prize winner will need to provide the required information to allow Contact to fulfil delivery (whether physical or otherwise) of any Prize. This may include an account number if the Prize is an energy discount or physical address if we need to send the relevant Prize. We will only send Prizes to addresses within New Zealand. If the required information is not provided in accordance with this clause 9 then the winner will forfeit their Prize and another winner will be selected and contacted.
The winner must be a New Zealand resident aged 18 and above who is actually residing in New Zealand and who is a customer of Contact Energy.
All Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and are not redeemable for cash or other prizes. Contact Energy retains the right to substitute the Prize with another prize of similar value in the event the original Prize offered is not available due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control. There is no cash alternative.
Any entry which does not comply with these terms and conditions will not be eligible for the Prize Draw.
The promotion is not open to employees of Contact Energy, their agencies or anyone else connected with the creation or administration of the promotion.
No responsibility is taken for entries lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete due to server functions, virus, bugs or any other causes outside Contact Energy's control. Proof of entry is not proof of receipt.
Contact Energy assumes no responsibility and shall not be liable for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant as a result of entering the promotion or accepting the Prize or any injury or damage to the entrant's or any other person's computer or mobile telephone relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the promotion.
Contact Energy and its suppliers are not liable for any change, compensation, cancellation, loss, damage, expense or failure to perform any contractual obligation which is due to any event or circumstances which the promoter (or its suppliers) could not foresee or avoid.
Contact Energy reserves the right to suspend and disqualify any entrant(s) who they suspect of breaking these terms and conditions.
The promotion will be governed by New Zealand law.
