The unique referral link must be used in order to qualify for this promotion and the associated discounts.
Both you and your referred friend must remain Contact customers for a period of at least 30 days from when your referred friend signs up.
The unique referral link is generated by an existing customer and shared with people they know electronically ie. email, messenger, etc.
The unique referral link should look similar to this: https://contact.co.nz/friends/randomletters. To claim the discount, your friend can follow this link and sign up to electricity from there. When they do this, the discount will be applied at the end of the month following their sign up.
To be eligible to use the promotion, you need an email address registered to your Contact account for receiving your electricity bill. You can set this up in My Account or contact us on 0800 224 424 and we'll be happy to set this up for you.
We’ll apply a $100 (incl. GST) discount to your bill at the end of the month following your friend’s sign up. So for example, if your friend signs up in July, it will applied to your account at the end of August.
