How does this work?

Create your personal link and promo code

Enter the email address of your Contact account so we know it’s you.

Share your link or code

Get your friends or family to sign up online using the link or promo code. Sharing the link is the easiest way to sign up, however, they can still sign up with the promo code.

Receive your discount - how it works

  • After 30 days, we'll check that you and your friend/family member still have an electricity connection
    with us.
  • If you do, the $100 credit (incl GST) will be applied to both your accounts. Please allow time for this, it may take up to 45 business days to appear after your friend/family member has signed up.
  • The discounts are applied within 45 days of your friend’s electricity account being activated here at Contact. After 30 days of your friend’s account being activated, we’ll check to see that you’re both still with Contact. After that check has been made, the discount takes up to 15 days to process.
  • The discount amount will show exclusive of GST with an amount of $86.97. However, the remaining part of the discount will be deducted in the GST portion of your bill meaning that you receive the full benefit of the $100 discount.
  • Friend get friend referrals are for new customers only that sign up their electricity to Contact.
    • This includes new customers signing up more than one service (e.g. electricity, gas and broadband) as long as electricity is one of those services.
  • The unique referral link or promo code must be used in order to qualify for this promotion and the associated discounts.
  • To be eligible to generate a personal referral link or code, you will need to use an email address that's registered against your Contact account.
    • If you receive your Contact bill via email, please use that same email to generate your unique code.
